Three giant Chinese manufacturers collaborate on wireless file transfer technology that works on their cellphones. Xiaomi MIUI, Oppo ColorOS, and Vivo FuntouchOS based on Android will integrate a peer-to-peer system.
This protocol will use Bluetooth to pair devices and must be able to transfer speeds up to 20MB per second. This technology seems to use Wi-Fi in the backend, like Apple's AirDrop system.
Reportedly, other smartphone manufacturers can register to join them at this time. The beta version of this service must be released at the end of this month.
