HMD Global Reveals Android 10 Presence Schedule

For your information, Google has just confirmed that it is ready to release Android 10 as its newest operating system this year. The name Android 10 was chosen because Google has already removed the naming based on dessert.

After Google announced the presence of Android 10, HMD Global also revealed the list of Nokia smartphones that will get the latest operating system from Google.

Quoted from GSM Arena, Friday (8/23/2019), the first sequence that will get it is the Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 8.1, and Nokia 7.1. After that, the second wave will begin to be released in the first quarter of 2020.

At this stage, a row of smartphones that will get Android 10 updates are Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 5.1 Plus, Nokia 1 Plus, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 3.1 Plus, and Nokia 2.2.

Finally, Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1, Nokia 2.1 and Nokia 1 will get Android 10 in the second quarter of 2020.

Nokia 8 itself is not included in the list of smartphones that get Android 10, so it is possible that OS updates for the device have been stopped.

Nevertheless, HMD ensure it will extend security updates for Nokia 8 for one year.
