Google Nearby could Things Know when You're Around

Google Introduce 'Nearby', Places, And Things' Know When You're Around. Google I/O is still around the corner and we are certain Google will respond with a feature or two that attacks the very same segment. There's no doubt at the moment that health and home automation are the next big frontiers, especially after both companies have release their dream of bringing their OS to the car.

Google's answer to HomeKit is Nearby, which has surfaced through an exclusive scoop by Android Police. The website claims that Nearby will automate a lot of activities and actions, without the user having to interact with the phone.

It's early, but Nearby is definitely a functionality to keep an eye out for. Besides the obvious apps like the previously rumored contact-based reminders, the feature could have huge potential for other areas. We can't be certain whether this will be an I/O unveiling, but here's hoping we hear something official soon.

But it will likely appear very soon with a new feature in Android called Google Nearby, which will allow new interactions between you and nearby people, places, and things.
